1920*1200 screen resolution for external screen? Any tips?

Hey everyone!
I'm trying to connect my MacBook Pro 15" (late 2010) to my HP 2335 screen...
I can't seem to find the right resolutions though . Any workarounds or other tips?
Tech. specs:

The resolution is 1920*1200 px @ 60Hz
What do i do now?

What do you mean, that you "can't find the right resolutions"? Does System Preferences > Displays not show the correct resolution, and if so, what resolution does it show?
And what Mac OS X version do you use?

Well, there is no resolution 1920*1200 in my list in System Preferences. I use Mac OS X Lion 1.7.2

It shouldn't matter but, are you connecting DVI or VGA?If VGA give the DVI a shot..

Make sure you did not disable the discrete graphics.
