It will inexplicably... not work... for my ibook... even though it works for everyone one else's yup that makes a ton of sense.... If there was no one saying it works on my laptop I would be highly spectacle and wouldnt buy it but cmon.
If it's same exact laptop, then it probably will work. I got bit in the ass once though. I purchased a 512 stick of Value RAM from Newegg for my G3 500 MHz iBook. It worked perfectly. About a week later my iBook died. I had no warranty and thus purchased a new one. I got a G3 800 MHz iBook that required the same RAM. I put the RAM in and it didn't work. I called Newegg and they told me that the RAM I bought is not guaranteed to work in a Mac. They told me I could purchase a higher priced stick that would definitely work. I told them how this one worked in the old iBook which used the same RAM. It all made no sense. I then said I just wanted to return the RAM for a refund. They said that if the stick came back and worked I'd have to pay a fee because it was over the number of days I could return stuff. I got pissed, but I had no choice. The next stick I purchased was Crucial (which I was always pleased with in my PC). I have a 1 GB stick from DataMem in my new PowerBook.Capt Underpants said:Newegg won't help you??? Newegg has notoriously good customer service!
If it works for you, I'm very happy for you. I just personally would rather pay a little more to get a written guarantee. I will never buy another stick that is not guaranteed for my Mac, no mater how many people tell me it works. As you can tell, my experience has made me very anti-newegg.
