so im trying to use 1password and im not sure if im doing it correctly but it seems that my keychain keeps messing things up when I try to use a password..is their a certain way I need to set up 1password if I already have my passwords in keychain?

I don't use Keychain and exclusively use 1Password (and love it, btw). I don't see a need to use both, so I'd suggest deleting passwords from Keychain that you have duplicated in 1 Password so they don't conflict.

Most probably the problem is that both are ticked in AutoFill Passwords.

Go to Settings - Passwords - AutoFill Passwords, here tick either Keychain or 1Password.

Settings > Passwords & Accounts > AutoFill Passwords or in "Search" type: AutoFill Passwords.

Don't see as an option in System Preferences or in 1Password.

I assume from the forum section you're posting to that you are referring to your work on a Mac. I use 1Password for most things but my Mac itself uses the Keychain for some things (e.g. wifi passwords).

Could you describe in what way things are messing up?
