This happened about an hour after the install. Put it to sleep, came back by pressing space bar and got the message to press and hold the start button to restart. Anyone else?

Post the log, please. (Google "Mac OS X how to log kernel panic")

I find that SL doesn't slow down as much as Leopard when spotlight is indexing.

Keyboard is plugged in to rear usb slot. I use a microsoft mouse connected to the keyboard. I have my UPS plugged in another USB port on the back. Thats it. Since this happened, I rebooted in 64 bit (just checking it out) and left it there. Brought it back from sleep and no problems yet. I did send the report to apple.
