I’m sure this has been discussed but I have the first gen 4K Apple connected to my Samsung Qled and new Samsung sound bar. It’s connected through earc but at times when I go to turn the movie on no sound! The clicking is present but I have to restart Apple TV. Anyone have a fix on this or just easier to use Apple TV app that comes with Samsung? I’m just not sure it provides dolby atoms where as on first gen 4K it will say on the sound bar when it’s providing dolby atoms. Thanks in advance!!

try googling your tv model and appleTV, on my LG there are a couple settings regarding the type of audio signal for sound in and sound out that need to be set correctly for it all to work.

try unplugging and replugging all HDMI cables. This will make sure that the connections are all well seated.

You could try new HDMI cables, for 4k and Atmos, you need to have decent cables, don't need to be stupid crazy expensive, but also don't go for the cheep-o bargain bin cable. it should be rated for "hdmi 2.1"
