My mom has a 1st gen iPhone that she no longer is using because she went with another service provider.

She gave me the phone to use, but I have an AT&T Samsung BlackJack 1st gen with a sim card. Her sim card is still in the old iphone, can i somehow take it out and put mine in and use it as my phone?

note: i have unlimited text but not internet. i really don't care if i use the internet seeing as we have a router and several computers in the home.

How do I open it up? Is this even possible? How would I go about doing this?

Please help as I am not super tech savvy.

sub-note: all our home computers are pc's :( i know huh?

Follow these instructions. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1438. Try and put your sim in and see if it works. I don't know if you can swap around sims in America seen as i live in the UK. You may as well try.
