Hi All,

I'm trying to jailbrake my 1st gen ipod touch and keep coming up with the same problem.

My Ipod is running the latest firmware update, and am following the guide instructions on this forum.

Have downloaded ZiPhoneOSX

The message that I get from ZiPhone is attached below;

Checking ZiPhone integrity...
i386
Searching for iPod...
Copying Inga.dat...
Entering recovery mode.

Then the ipod turns off after a while and itunes detects that it needs to be restored.

Is this the wrong way?

Thanks

Wait ... is your ipod running any 2.X FW?
If ti is ... then ZiPhone won't do you good.
I would use Quickpwn or Pwnagetool to jailbreak.
😉
