iPad Pro 1st Gen Pencil Discounts?

Is the 1st Gen Pencil ever on sale? I've yet to see it for less than $100. I'd think since the 2nd Gen has been out for a while now it would have come down a bit.

I don’t have high hopes for the pencil to become drastically more affordable.

Lots of good deals on eBay and Amazon. I got my second gen for $84 (eBay). Open packaging. Haven’t had any issues whatsoever.

As in affordable directly from Apple? What ballpark figure are you expecting when?

It looks to me as if the pencil is very appealing and a good profit generator.

AirPods don’t cost much if any less these days then when they launched, other Apple accessories to my knowledge also keep their prices well. What am I missing?

Like what? Pencil 1 is out for like 3+ years and Apple still charges the same more or less.
