i am impressed. Fired up new iPad and it told me to get my old one near. Poof! Apps loaded, email accounts loaded, WiFi setup, photos loaded, etc.

Two problems. My website passwords have not transferred. And my actual email files have not transferred.

How do I get them transferred?

Passwords do not transfer if you don't have them saved in the keychain. you have to enter the passwords in first.

Found the keychain. Turned it on. Don’t see how to force a backup of passwords.

Keychain on a Apple product is where the passwords are stored. If you saved your passwords to iCloud then when you move to a new gadget, you wouldn't have to type your passwords in. I forgot what its called on a PC.

Go to Settings - Apple I.D. - iCloud - Keychain . Keychain would be turned on.

Thats the only way they would have to be turned on. I just had my iPad replaced. I put the old iPad next to the new one and some of the passwords weren't transferred. I don't have my keychain turned on. Some of the passwords I had to enter and some I just held my iPhone next to the iPad to transfer the passcode.

Turned on Keychain on both machines. WiFi and Bluetooth on. Old iPad near new. Tried a password protected app and the password filler popped up. Voila!

Now to get my email files transferred.
