1TB laptop drive

    Will the Western Digital 1 TB laptop drive fit in a late 2006 Macbook Pro? Anyone here using one? WD model number is WD10TEVT. It's a 12.5 mm drive.

    Don't think this is possible yet, as western digital says these won't ship to retailers until mid-september.

    I'll let you know as soon as I'm able to purchase one!

    Largest 9.5mm tall drive is the Western Digital 640 GB SATA OEM Notebook Hard Drive WD6400BEVT (Scorpio Blue)

    12.5 fits in 13" MacBook Pro

    I installed a 750 GB drive in November. It is snug, but fits without any modifications whatsoever.
