Hello
I'm having a bit of trouble upgrading my hard drive to a 1TB drive.
I've copied my old drive with carbon copy, but when I switch the drives round and try to boot from the new one it just, shows a folder with a question mark. So I'm wondering if mac can boot from a 1TB drive?

A Mac can boot from a 1TB HDD, but did you made you sure the partition scheme is set to GUID?
Use Disk Utility to do that.

I used time machine and had no problem whatsoever, why don't you try that route ?

I don't see why it could not. You made sure you formatted it correctly?

Thanks for that, turns out that is was formated wrong (silly me).
Before I start the next clone, do you know of any way to copy over the boot camp as well as mac os?

I just used win clone today for win7. In pref I used special non mounting image btw also your bootcamp partition needs to be as large as old one, not even a gb less.
