If I upgrade to the 2.0 from 1.4 on my phone is there an easy way to get back to 1.4? Reason being I would like to sell my phone and be able to unlock if the buyer request it. Thanks in advance

2.0 will be unlocked. They won't want it with anything less than 2.0.

I wouldn't worry about it. An unlock app for a first generation running 2.0 will likely be available in a week or so. It appears that Apple solved the unlocking problem by requiring in-store activation. So the actual unlocking of 2.0 is likely to remain fairly trivial.

I mean unlock for any carrier I.E. T-Mobile. . Do you think in 2.0 it'll be easy to unlock for any sim card on a 1st gen iPhone?

2 is already unlocked! I can't tell you where to go for it, but it's to do with a bay, and a guy with a parrot on his shoulder and an eye patch!
