I remeber people posting about firmware 2.2 but when I click on check for update it will say 2.1 is the current virsion. Is there really 2.2 or am I tottely off?

it is out iPHone only BETA ONE. so prly when its out for real than iphone and ipod will be on itunes (for a GREAT price of 99.99 plus 25.00 tax)

2.1 is the current version.

2.2 Beta 1 for iPhone has been released to selected iPhone developers, not to the public. I can only guess that when 2.2 is released to the public iPod Touch owners will be able to get it aswell.
