i hope i don't get put down for "double post"
i need answers immediately, otherwise i would have moved the thread.

this guy in my area is selling a 2.26 white unibody macbook with 4gb of ram for 600.
he says it's brand new and that he opened it just to "try it out"

but i can't trust that at all, since he's just a stranger.

but, either way. how good of a deal is this?

Great deal if its legit. Sounds fishy, though...

"If it sounds too good to be true, _____." You can fill in the rest...

Check it out, though, and check to see if its been reported stolen - I guess you can call Apple to check? (Please correct me if I'm wrong...)

He didn't open it just to try it out. If he had, it would only have 2 gigs of ram. If it actually is anywhere near new, it is a pretty good deal though. I would look at it and make sure it works well and looks good before buying it, if possible. If that isn't possible, then I wouldn't buy it.
