Hello!

I have noticed that when using 2.4 GHz WiFi when having bluetooth on, there are issues on my XR. Instagram will regularly take 10-15 seconds to load new images, Twitter videos will fail to play on the first try, YouTube thumbnails will take a long time to load, and app store images will also take a long time to load.

The issues disappear immediately when turning bluetooth off (from the settings app), and when using 5 GHz WiFi and of course mobile data. I can't keep bluetooth off though because I have an Apple Watch, and 5 GHz WiFi doesn't have as good range as 2.4 GHz. I assume the problem is that 2.4 GHz WiFi and bluetooth shares an antenna?

Anyone else having these issues?

iOS 12.1.2

unfortunately nothing you can do about it but using the 5ghz wlan.

the problem is that also bluetooth is using the same 2,4ghz freq. as wifi 2,4ghz.

I would think that Apple would use some software algorithms to prioritize the most important type of traffic though. When I'm actively loading content on my phone I'm not too concerned about my watch syncing data for example

5 GHz is your answer. That is all.

Actually it isn't. Not enough coverage. I would have to put up at least two more accessible points to get good enough coverage on 5 GHz and I'd rather spend that money on more exciting things It does solve the issue but I'd think 2.4 GHz should work better than this. Has this always been a problem on iPhones or is it dependent on model and software version?

My iPad Air used to loose WiFi altogether when streaming audio using bluetooth but my 2018 iPad does not have any issues with simultaneous WiFi and bluetooth

Cannot answer.

All that I know is that I switched to the 5 GHz long time ago, when I lived in the building with bunch of residents, and changing channel didn't do the trick.

Since I went 5 GHz, I have been problem free.
