Anyone think the old 2.4 macbook pro is a better deal than the current 2.53 macbook pro. The current base model only has the 9400m while the old one has the 9400m and the 9600m.

I certainly do. 🙂 Only paid $1500 for mine too, so its a way better deal. 😀 Don't really care too much about the new battery, nice but not necessary for me. Hate that they took out the express card slot. Only thing I like about the new MBP's is the ability to put 8gb of ram in them. Wish I could do that in mine.
Of course! And the 2.4 only costs $1500 over at B&H, not to mention its tax free outside of NY...
