    Hi all, how're you?
just curious to know if any of you have tried to connect an external antenna (as the enclosed picture) to the 2 Ufl./Ipx connectors on the Airport mPcie on my MacPro 3,1.
I'm trying to get better wifi reception, and avoid some interferences of the Pcie USB 3.0 card.

    Any idea?

    Thank you in advance

It's been discussed before, these kind of antenna will work as expected (to avoid interference, improve connection, etc) if you do it correctly.

I am also using external antennas for my BT and wifi, even though I am with the 5,1, but still the same thing.

    Thanks for answering!
I suppose It's been discussed before, but I have searched a bit before posting, and only found post related to Pcie cards.
When you said "if you do it correctly" what do you mean?

    Thank you!

e.g. with correct cable / connector, or pick the correct antenna, etc.

There are many different combinations, not too hard to get it wrong if not careful enough.

Also, make sure you study what is dBi (antenna gain) before you pick the antenna. I've seen few guys buy the high dBi antenna which actually put themselves in the "dead zone".
