13'' macbook pro retina late 2012 model

2,521 cycle count, battery status says good. maybe lasts an hour and half to 2 hours with what i'm doing at full charge...I think the battery is rated at 7 or 8 hours but I don't recall ever getting anything close to that.

is there a place to get an authentic or good replacement battery? is it easy to install? can I do it for around $100? I'm sure if I take it to an Apple store (don't even live by one) they'd want $300. Anything past $100 I might just be better off buying a new laptop, even though mines hasn't caused any problems.

Would just like charging it at work and being to use it at home without a charge (lol yes I'm an electricity cheepie) but that's not happening

I just had to have the battery replaced in my late 2013 15" due to it swelling at . . . 83 cycle count. Mine was £200 at the apple store

You should get a battery service at Apples or an authorized service. Old batteries are prone to swelling and other hazards. I’d take care of it ASAP.
