I have a 2.57GB .AVI file that I'm trying to drag onto a FAT32 SDD with 13GB of free space (see pic).
The error message reads "The item “ABC123.avi” can’t be copied because it is too large for the volume’s format." (see pic).
I've never had a problem transferring files before and I'm wondering if it's a High Sierra issue.

As the error message says, your file is too big for the format of your disk. Are you sure you really have a FAT32 disk rather than FAT16?

It is FAT32. Please see the initial accompanying pictures.
Cheers for that. As I supected it's High Sierra playing up. Apple are going down the pan.

Using a link to reddit in a link provided by xylitol I've found a free software workaround if anyone's interested - https://mac.eltima.com/file-manager.html
