    Hi

I'm wondering if I can connect a mic or a headphone to the 2.5mm audio connector in the MBA.

Right know I can use this connector for both input/output in my MBP.

It can be done in the MBA as well?

    Thanks,

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I've been wondering this too. I think The 13" pro can, so I'm guessing this can too. My 13" i7 comes next week...

First it seems to be a 3.5mm plug (correct me if I'm wrong) ;-)

and in the spec page of the new MBA it says "Support for Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic":D So you can use whatever Earphone + Mic combo that supports the iPhone on your MBA.

Thanks for the 3.5mm correction, and for the information in Apple's website.
But I'm hoping that someone with a MBA can prove that it works just like MBP.

I can confirm that, indeed, the full shebang works – remote & mic.
