I am honored to be one of the first to post an annoying "what MacBook for games" thread on the new MacBook Pros :p

I see that the 2.66GHz MacBook Pro has been reduced down to a 256MB 9600M.

For $200 more, I could purchase the next level up with a 512MB graphics card (and a slightly higher clock speed).

Is that even worth it? Will I even see a noticeable increase in FPS (in games such as GTA IV or Team Fortress 2)?

Also, are these MacBook Pros available in store today? I'm going to pick one up. Great keynote from Apple, I'm very impressed.

You'll want the additional VRAM. You're paying quite a bit to get it though.

What is the added VRAM even good for? Isn't that only for larger textures?
