2.8GHz quad-core mid-2010 Xeon refurbished

Looking at buying this system from Apple for a pro audio workstation... Would be an upgrade from my Late 2008 2.8GHz Core2Duo MacBook Pro. Don't really care about graphics, just hard drive bays, RAM, reliability, and processing power.

Does anyone have experience with a refurbished Mac Pro as per the quality?

Also, does Apple generally upgrade the refurb'd offerings when the new models come out? Unsure if I should wait til the fall because about $2,200 is all I'm willing to spend on the base system before upgrades.

if you look around you may get it at a better price in oct after the 2011 mac pro comes out. Assuming it comes out in oct. here is my cpu upgrade thread.

that machine can be boosted a lot with the cpu upgrade.
