So I've got a couple of questions about the Calendar app, and both of these seem obvious to me that they should be able to be possible, I just haven't been able to figure it out myself...
1. How to set a more specific location in the Location field
I always populate the Location field as it's convenient to have directions to where I'm going from where I am, and sometimes ETA (I cycle, so 'traffic delays' aren't especially useful (and as an aside, I wish Apple would consider that some point don't own cars....)).
But beyond the specific physical address of a place, I very often have to go a specific room, office, classroom etc...
I can obviously put this in the Notes field, but that doesn't show up as a preview on the Watch, and even on the phone for the most part.
I can stick it in the name too, but that can get unwieldy:
"Meeting with John Doe" vs "Meeting with John Doe in the Carol Nash Recital Room"
Is there something I'm overlooking with regards to setting a location/address AND a specific space within that location?
2. Events that begin and end in different time zones
I only noticed that this was possible when I started using iCloud's built in thing where travel itineraries you get emailed can get automatically added to your calendar. Suuuuper convenient. I travel quite a bit so I love this feature.
But sometimes I'll get forwarded a travel itinerary, or someone gives me a print out, or sometimes I've found certain airline emails don't get parsed as actually being a travel itinerary.
In these cases I add all the same info to my calendar manually. The problem comes when they start and end in different time zones. As far as I can tell, I can set the timezone for the event, but that then applies to both the start AND end time. The automatically generated events (via iCloud) do have multiple timezones, however.
So is that something that is doable manually? Or is that only available to the iCloud service?
(something I've been doing recently is just doing the math and setting the 'arrival time' to what it would be in the departing timezone, but that can be more hassle than it's worn, and also confusing in some cases.
