I’ve been looking for a 2-gang light switch here in the US that uses Homekit but haven’t been able to find one. Does anyone have any decent recommendations? Thanks in advance!

A gang is the space in the wall electrical box that allows a switch or outlet receptacle to mount into. So one gang is just one switch in the wall and two gang is two switches mounted side by side controlling two different lights. By two gang, do you mean 3-way which is the ability to control one light bulb from two different locations or do you mean a one gang with two switches on the same gang?

Sorry, not sure about the correct terminology. I guess what I'm looking for is a “two-pole” single gang switch. Something like this, but homekit compatible: https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-5634...ommercial/dp/B003AVLWGM/ref=asc_df_B003AVLWGM

the few I've seen require a separate hub, you can’t use it directly through homekit.

Yeah, I haven’t heard or seen any Of those styles that have HomeKit support, hub or not.

Curious what you found that can add one of those to HomeKit with a hub.

one was the Aqara Smart Light Switch (with Neutral, Double Rocker)

And there was this generic brand, which looks cool, but I need to use a standard plate to accommodate two other switches in the same space.

I've seen at least one other. Once I find it I'll post it.

Oh wow, I totally forgot about the Aqara. Highly recommend them. Buy the hub once and this opens up to a whole slew of super fast, reliable and very affordable HomeKit sensors. Plus a self monitoring alarm system.

Never heard of the second one but it does say HomeKit so I guess it is lol.

To repeat, Meross makes a very reasonable switch that has native HomeKit support.
The OP is looking for a particular switch that has two switches in one gang. The one you’re posting is just a single switch for one gang. Yes Meross is a good company. I have a few of their indoor and outdoor outlets.

Thanks Barbu. I currently have a few Meross switches. 2 dimmers, 3 standard switches and even a couple of outdoor plugs I use for my Holiday lights. In my opinion they are the among the best ones out there for the money. But they currently don't make one with a double switch (not a 3-way) which is what I'm looking for.

Ooos my bad, I didn’t study the photo closely enough, did not notice the two mini switches. That is a different thing altogether… I hope you find one OP!

Thanks for the link! I actually had purchased that before started this thread. I had done an amazon search for a 2-gang switch and those came up. My mistake in not fully reading the description. I saw the two buttons and thought it was what I needed. Turns out one button turns on, the other turns off. Thankfully Amazon has a good return policy. 😀

I’m pretty sure Meross will come out with one soon. I can’t imagine I’m the only one with this need.

Are there any smart switches that fit the billl? Something that will work with homebridge perhaps?

aeotec makes nano dimmers and switches (relays) they are small devices that go into the box behind a regular switch, making it smart. They are z-wave only though, but with homebridge are easily to add to the home app.

you can wire a dumb wall switch into the dimmer/switch, so the wall switch can be used to control the load, in addition to using z-wave.

I've also mounted them directly in the box for the light fixture. Used it for the light portion of a ceiling fan, had full time power in the box over the fan, but only one switch on the wall, so used the wall switch for the fan, and was only able to control the light via z-wave.

They are small, but not tiny (approx 1.5"x1.5"x.75" inch, 40x40x20 mm) so getting two behind a since switch might be difficult unless the box is really deep, and your switch is shallow.

Yes, I posted a link above. There is the Aqara double rocker switch that needs their hub. I was trying to avoid having to add a hub to the mix. I currently use a Homepod Mini as my HomeKit hub. I'll keep looking, not in a rush to get the double switch (more a "want" than a "need" haha).

If I come across anything I'll definitely post it on here.

This might be a little old and you may have found a solution, but I figure I'll chime in.

Do you have the ability to replace your current single gang switchbox with an "old work 2-gang box". If you have the wall space and enough existing wiring, you could put in two of the less expensive meross switches. If you can do the work yourself, it would potentially be cheaper than buying switches that need a hub or whatnot.

Hi there, did you ever find a solution not requiring a Hub? I'm looking for the same thing (one gang, single pole, double rockers (two switches in one gang housing; single pole each). Thanks!
