Love watching the reviews on by DC. I love the garmin and get ALOT of compliments on it, MAN i don't want to have to keep up with 2 devices lol.

Awesome thread - I'm a runner as well, though not a serious long-distance runner. I usually run 5-10 km runs and longer and longer closer to a half or full marathon - I LOVE running with my AW - Especially since Series 2 (not a big fan of having my phone with me - hate sms/mail/calls etc. during a run - Running is my free peace time)...

I'm by no means super-anal about the details, but have read quite a few reviews of the AW S2 where the GPS actually get very good remarks - not bad at all. In my experience it's pretty damn close to my Nike GPS watch, my iPhone GPS and now this watch - all of them within few meters. And regarding the battery, this thing is beyond anything I expected - with a short GPS/HR run yesterday and using it quite a lot, I still go to bed with around 40-50% power.

And yeah - I'm addicted to those damn circles as well :D

Love to read your experiences in here - keep it up...

Good job! You filled up the activity circle nearly 5x. Don't retire your Garmin. I feel like DC Rainmaker wearing 2 watches now.:)
I finally figured out the pause and resume on the AW. It seemed like hit and miss. An Apple guy advised lightly tap- I was pounding it or full press. Hit and miss. Light tap- works great.
The auto pause only works if you completely stop. Garmin gives you some pace times choices, so if you are running 8 minute miles you can set auto pause to a slower pace, i.e. 10-12 minute and you can walk, get water or whiz break, you don't have to be completely stopped to have the auto pause kick in. Nick

So there's a better way to pause/resume other than swipe and push pause? How do you do that? I wish there something that gives a full list of controls during a run with the watch. Maybe there is something and I've missed it.

I am going to start a new thread- "Calling all runners" to get input on other's experiences with GPS/HR battery and maybe just some running stuff, races, training etc. Nick
