I'm just curious: I have a 3G scroll wheel iPod , which docks to my G4 iMac via Firewire, and my roommate is looking into getting the new iPod Mini. Can both iPod's coexist on the same computer? We both have our own separate accounts. Also, this may sound dumb, but, I don't know if my G4 iMac has USB 2.0 or the older version?

Both iPods can coexist peacefully, either via separate login accounts or on the same account.

You iMac doesn't have USB 2.0 if it's as old as mine, but I think the last G4 models had it - but I'd use Firewire if I were you.

I purchased it in March of 2003. Don't think that's the last of the line...
