What did you format your Boot Camp partition as? NTFS or FAT32? Mac OS X can read both, but can't write to NTFS. On the Windows side, you could install MacDrive (not free) which allows Windows to read/write HFS+ volumes.

Does your DSL modem connect with ethernet or USB? If it only uses USB that might be why they need Windows to configure it, but it should be ethernet which means they're just wrong because it doesn't matter what OS you're running to get things setup.

well if you have an external sharing would be easy as long as its formatted in fat32.

it will be hard to share on the same hd in the macbook since windows cant read hfs drives so my reccomendation is to use an external if you have one.

as far as the second question, are you trying to have internet for both mac and for bootcamp when you use it? i know for me i had it set up with mac and in windows it just worked. didnt have to do anything special with it.

hope that helps
