    Hi,

A little while ago I was opening a VLC video and my MacBook Pro Retina 13" decided to have a kernel panic. When it restarted, I send the bug report to Apple. As I was trying to copy the report into TextEdit, it had another kernel panic. Now I'm afraid there's something seriously wrong, as I think I may have had one or two only in this almost year of having this great computer.

    Thank you!
    Ben

First thing I would do is get rid of that Bresink Temp. Monitor software you have installed.

That's Temperature Monitor, and Temperature Monitor Lite. I use both on my MacBook Pro and have never had an issue with it. It certainly has never caused a kernel panic on any of my Mac's.

Of course, that does not mean it isn't on OP's Mac. :)

In my experience, removing apps that install third party kext files is a good first step in troubleshooting KPs. Just a suggestion.

Thank you for the helpful information, I will take a look at possibly uninstalling that, hopefully I can find an equivalent program.

    :)
