Sorry if this has been asked before. I just got a new ATV3. I am wondering if I could purchase an older white remote and pair it to the apple tv also. That way I can leave a remote by my desk and one on the coffee table.

you can program your tv remote or receiver remote to work with the apple tv, and thus keep the stock one at your desk
