Is there any way to set up Safari so that one window is in Private Browsing mode while the other one(s) aren't?

That is pretty much the one feature keeping me from converting from Chrome to Safari and I would really like to make the switch.

Could it be that you meant to say TABs as opposed to windows? I've had the ability to use different modes for different windows (instances) for a very long Time.

No, windows. If I'm in private browsing, if I open a new window, and click Private, it then asks me if I want to turn off Private Browsing. Upon hitting yes, it stops Private Browsing on all open windows in that Safari instance.

Ahaa, gotcha. You need to open an additional Instance through the terminal. A new Tab or Window from the same instance won't do it. Paste this into your Terminal and press enter.

Code:
open -n /Applications/Safari.app/

It seems this is no longer the case. you can have as many windows of each simultaneously as you like without any hacks.
