Much better than the Att deal from what I hear. It gives you 2 gb extra to use for tethering. Att charges you a tethering fee and draws the data from your actual phone allowance (2gb for new iPhone owners). If I'm wrong feel free to lemme know :)

I don't know why anyone was surprised. $20 for 2GB is already what Verizon does for other smartphones with mobile hotspot.

It is either extra or a cap. If you have the 150MB plan then yes it is 2GB to tether with and it will not drain your 150MB. If you have unlimited then of course it could not affect your unlimited data either way.

I honestly didn't think it was a bad deal. I mean if you have the need to connect other wireless devices while away from a wifi network, then pay the $20 extra. If you already have a mobile broadband service, as I do, then just stick to regular data/voice and use your iPhone as you normally would. I have learned one way or another it always works out to be about the same in price.

That's pretty much what I guessed also.
    Makes sense.
