I totally would, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to spend THAT much money.
I still have college. ;)
The 2.4Ghz 20'' refurb looks like the deal for me...

If it's what you can afford then just get it don't go into debt because people think you should get something else. Enjoy it when you get it.

So...I'm starting to think about a 24'' again because I just got a desk so I don't have to worry about buying one...and I've realized a 24'' would look amazing on it's vintageness.

I think I like the alum over the white. White is cool, but the alum/industrialized look fits well with my room. There's only a $250 different between the two. Still thinking.

I know exactly your situation It's just so hard to decide what may seem simple to some but to others it's hard I went through something similar when deciding between Macbook and iMac and well you obviously know what I ended up with and so far I don't regret my decision.

Here's the only Advice I can offer Take your time make sure it's what you want.

Thanks, well I probably will get it at the end of the month so there is still sometime to think.

agree. i've been back and forth so many times on my purchases and i've gone back on them all the time too.

If the questions is the 24" Alum iMac, and you have the extra cash, get that one.

If the question is 20" alum vs 24" white, get the 20" alum. It'll last longer and looks better

So, on the Apple store there's a "Limited Time Offer" sales on imac refurbs and the 2.4ghz 24'' is 1,499; 50 bucks cheaper then a few weeks ago, not a mind blowing drop, but I know believe that I'm 94.207% set on that one.

I like your Calculation on that one but you don't have to let the the people decide for you, it's your choice.

How big is your desk?

Assuming that you are talking about a 20" new Aluminum iMac vs. a 24" refurb aluminum iMac I actually went through the exact same dilema?

Some will tell you if you can afford a mac just go new! (even though that is what I did) I disagree

Honestly... there is absolutley nothing wrong with a refurb
:apple: does a good job backing up their products and you will have no problems and a smooth transaction

so my answer truly is how big is your desk? haha

Everyone is on a budget and there is no problem with going apple refurb.

Break out the tape measure buddy and welcome :apple:

Without a doubt, a 24'' would fit on my desk. So space isn't an option.
I'm pretty sure I decided on getting the 20''. I'd rather keep my budget lower.

I ended up getting the 20'' 2ghz imac refurb. I think I made the right choice and I CAN NOT wait till it gets here! :)

Yeah I'm excited!
Also, I've been thinking that I might like a second display, a 20'' to set next to my iMac. Ideas on what I should get? I would get a Apple Display, but I would rather look for something cheaper first...
