I guess we'll find out soon if you're right, Ev, but now I doubt you a bit. Sorry. Its just that everything you post sound counterintuitive to what is thought.
For example.....Apple dead pixel policy below. Doesn't seem possible that so many customer service reps would have gotten this wrong. They don't take back products with 1 dead pixel. Its basically an industry standard rule, although retailers may take them back. Apple doesn't.

Not making this stuff up
As Im sure you can see by the shipping confirmation that has only been edited to protect what I would deem somewhat sensitive information, I am not making this up. At the stores they seem to be much more lenient and believe me I know about apple's pixel policy. When something is built to order the policy is followed to a T. However, stock machines are easily replacable so why not keep the customer happy? I think that makes sense and that is why my newly SHIPPED iMac is bone stock.

Yeah, take some pictures, especially of the ports and such. It seems that despite all the pictures, we have only seen very few angles of the iMac. Most pictures are taken from the exact same angles.

Maybe he shouldn't get everyone's hope up high in the 1st place. He shouldn't have made this thread until he got the iMac and have taken pics to show his fellow MacRumorers. I just don't like how people claim they have something but don't show any proof of the actual product. But that's just me. At least the OP here showed the packing slip. There's this guy on another forum talking about having the new Sony Qualia 010 in his possession, but after 400+ posts, he still fails to post a single picture of the subject in discussion, claiming he doesn't have a digicam and has to wait for his friend who has one to come over. Uh... right. You just paid $3000+ on a pair of custom Sony flagship headphones and you don't have a single digicam?
