the complaints about the lack of proper bisquits and the aroused elephant are both understandable and should be removed from the list ASAP.

"It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England it only took the Americans three hours to get home."

That one is plain down right stupid, i personally feel quite ashamed almost that im british because of the stupidity of some of those complaints. It doesnt make any sense why people complain about such random crap, these days beats me..

i like to think my head is screwed on the right way, i also happen to be british and proud of it, despite the fact that there are some right plonkers in this country-as the link testifies :)

Well I wouldn't get too worked up about it, since one of these supposedly true complaints was exactly the same idea as a joke a comedian told on TV many years ago, I think it's likely that someone is being spoofed.

I think he's referring to Brits not complaining about bad service, which in fact, we are fairly notorious for. Particularly in restaurants.

Everything else, we do complain about.

I actually think its a bit of both. As an nation we complain, but only inefficiently. We complain about the weather (can't change that), and when it comes to service (eg in a restaurant, a queue), we complain to each other, but not to the restaurant itself. That's my experience anyway.

I complain. If we're in at a restaurant and the service has been bad I tell them not to expect a tip when it comes to getting the bill. If i'm in a supermarket and there are long queues I'll find the floor manager and ask for a till to be opened.
