Carrier 200 MB Free Plan w/Phone Sim Card?

Will I be able to get the free 200 MB plan on my iPad 3 if I buy the tmobile prepaid phone activation kit? I know the "mobile internet" version will work, but the phone one is free. Are there any major differences between the two?

Yes, it will work just fine. No differences.

I don't see why not. I ordered full-priced iPhone 5s T-Mobile version from the Apple store, popped the sim on arrival, and put the phone on AIO. When I got my iPad Air with an ATT sim, I popped that sim and swapped in the one I had received for my phone ... had no issue getting the 200 MB of free data.
