Hey everyone,

I broke my screen 3 days after the iPhone 4 was released but it was a minor crack. Apple told me they could exchange my phone for $200. Well, last night while using the phone, that minor crack basically exploded into a huge one, making a lot of the screen unreadable. So I am thinking about paying the $200 for apple to swap out my phone.

My question is, will apple let me exchange my black one for the white one if I pay the $200 repair fee? Thank you!!

Nope. You get back whatever you turn in. Especially with the white iPhone being so new, I doubt they would give it to you.

Screen repairs are basically easy, just take your time and follow the videos on Youtube. Cost between $10 and $40 for the replacement parts.

Show the geek the list of Apple hardware in your signature and maybe he will feel sorry for you and pull a white one out for you.

Apart from contributing to the chorus of "No". I would ask about a screen repair - it may be cheaper.
