I just got an Apple Studio Display (manufactured in 2001) from school and I was wondering if I would be able to hook it up to my 2006 Macbook. I am looking for a cheap display for my Macbook and since this one is free then why not try and make it work?

I did some research and have decided that if I go DVI-ADC and then DVI-miniDVI then it should work.. right?

Does anyone have any experience with this set up?

yeah but if it will work i don't have a problem spending $40. fits nicely in my college budget. I'm guessing it would work?

Yes, that will work. As long as the Apple display is in good working condition (no back light issues and what not) then it's definitely a good bargain for the quality you'll be getting VS the money you'll have to put in for the adapters. Plus, they look so damn cool.

Glad to know!!! Thank you very much for confirming. And I completely agree. I have been looking for a cheap monitor solution for all my FCP needs and I just couldn't pass this up!
