OK, made myself my first car purchase ever

2005 Silver Dodge Neon SXT @ $10,375

Found a silver one with Cruise and keyless entry for only a little more. And I will get it today as opposed to the 9,950 priced model. Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't have any qualms with forgien cars - I have been driving a 93 Izuzu for a couple of years now - I just couldn't find a car that I wanted before tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'll like this car and I got 9.35% interest and a min payment of around $189 per month. I'll post a picture once I pick it up after it gets cleaned at the dealership.

Congratulations!! I am sure that car with be your little workhorse! You got a nice deal.

If I were you I would always keep Mobil 1 Synthetic engine oil in it after your first oil change.

And as mentioned in this thread keep fresh transmission fluid and filters in your transmission. You manual most likely recommends changing it every 20--30K miles, but more can't hurt. My friend is a mechanic and he uses Amsoil synthetic automatic transmission in his car. He swears by the stuff. When he goes to clean his transmission drain plug he says there are no metal shavings on it--meaning almost no transmission wear.

Just a couple of suggestions.

Enjoy your new car and looking forward to seeing some picts!

Now I have to find my way into behind the radio to install my FM Transmitter that I used with the old vehicle I drove... Anyone know how to get back there???

Pop out the two center air vents (work with a taped-over screwdriver or similar from the middle) and you will find one screw on each side underneath. Next, pull out the heat and cooling knobs. Finally, the center panel should pop out, it's on spring clips (you can pull on the panel to coax the knobs if they are hard to grab).

The radio itself should be pretty obvious, there are screws along the sides. You should have plenty of room behind to hide stuff.

Ah yes, however I notice Dodge soldering the antennae jack in - and since it's still under the sacred warranty I shant disturb it.

If your radio has previoius/next CD buttons on it then you could instead use one of those CD changer emulator boxes (provided that whatever you want to plug in has line out). They sell for around $100, some of these have iPod dock connectors and pass through the radio panel to act as a remote. There will have been an unused connector on the back of the stereo if this is an option for you.
