I bought my PowerBook in May 2005 and have used it daily for at least eight hours each day. About a month ago, a one-pixel-wide 'stripe' appeared, running from the top of the screen to the bottom. Two weeks ago, another appeared, and then yesterday, yet one more. The first two are 'purple' and the most recent one is 'yellow'. As for getting it replaced, do any of you have recommendations? It's gonna be hellish not having this machine for the few days it'll take to get it repaired. I do not have the AppleCare warranty. I stopped at the Genius Bar in Seattle and one of the guys there said they have a program that, for $350.00, I can get the screen replaced as well as have anything else taken care of at the same time. He said I should just 'make a list', bring it in and go from there. Any idea what he's talking about?
