MP 1,1-5,1 2006 Mac pro boot issue

My 2006 Mac pro on boot up the spinning wheel is stuck, won't go into normal boot sequence.

Have you tried the usual other boot methods, "Safe Mode",

yes. made a futile attempt, But no success. Still stuck at the apple logo screen with the spinning wheel stuck.

Everything I try the spinning wheel freezes. safe-mode, single-user, nothing same results.

Reinstall Mac OS X. If you didn’t backup your data, install Mac OS X on another drive and access the non bootable drive that way.
