Just received my 2017 27” base model w/ 512 ssd. Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions. Coming from a 2007 20” base model, it’s quite a spectacular difference.
Anyway, my question. I figured I’d run the restore discs on the 2007. Somehow I missed the erase utilities step. Holding down the C key brought up the hd window. The popup stated not enough room on the disk, do you want to erase the drive. Thats how I erased the hd. After installing both discs it is clean, the registration window is showing. Should I redo and erase in utilitis? Or even can I? Thanks Rich

Not sure what you're asking, but...

... if you've already erased the drive, then done a new OS install, the first thing you should see is what you're seeing now -- the setup screen.

What are you going to do with it?
Keep using it?
Give it away?
Sell it? (you really can't get much for a 10-year-old Mac)

Not sure what I am going to do with it. Just wanted to make sure it was wiped clean. Thanks Rich
