Hoping someone can assist
Powered my MacBook down earlier successfully, since powering back on it is stuck on the grey boot screen.
What I have done so far
1. Repaired permissions - this appears to bring back issue with contents/resources/pt.lproj/uiagent.nib folders. Ran several times won't completely disappear
2. Repair disk - no errors reported
3. reset the VRAM/pram - now beeps when I restart
4. Tried to reinstall lion but i can't select 'customise'
5. SMART status is ok too
6. Ran reset password from terminal window
I do have a Time Capsule backup from 14th April, so can restore that but hoping something can fix the drive.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated
