I think it is worth the extra money that is why I own one and now my wife ones so I have another on order, pound for pound the new ones are a lot better then the older 17".

I just bought the 17" UBMBP for $2600 and just received $200 cashback from Live.com...😀😀
I think that this is the best deal in town...
I am hoping that what you people have been telling me are true, that the 17" UBMBP screen are much better in person than in the Apple stores...

I should have done my research a little better..
I just realised that I need to shell out another $100 for the mini-displayport to DUAL LINK DVI cable since I needed to run my Dell 3007WFP-HC....
This is used to be standard in the (2008) MBP version...
