2008 Mac Pro owners: Apple Replacement Program for ATI 2600XT Cards

Seems to be similar to that 1900XT replacement program for 2006/7 Mac Pro's.

Assuming the serial number matches up, I wonder if I could bring in my 2600XT card even though I don't have any problems with it. (As a matter of fact, I only used the card for maybe 3 months total, because I got a 3870 in 2008, and most recently a 5870 a few months ago.)

I'm also curious to know what replacement card Apple would give. 8800GT possibly?

Hmm very interesting.

I replaced my 2600XT back in 2008 with a 8800GT, then when I flashed my 5870 in Windows I tried to use the 2600XT along side the 5870 as it uses no power cables, but it was dead to the monitor. Think I'll swing by the store and see if it is replaceable.

Users seem to be getting replacement 2600XT cards, some of which come with a serial number in the range of the bad cards!
