The battery on my 2008 alu macbook has reached about 350 cycles..
while it's not dead, i was looking as buying a replacement soon.

Apple MacBook 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (13-inch DDR3) MB467LL/A is the macbook, and the relevant battery model is A1280.

Where can you buy these from in the UK?

It's not listed on Apple's site - and hunting around google gives a plethora or "battery" websites, but i have never heard of any of them.. and some of them look quite similar to each other, so quite wary of ordering from them.

I've seen some being sold on eBay - but again.. are they the real thing?

If anyone can help with my query, it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thats the correct battery. There was only ever one Aluminium MacBook.

MB771 is the battery part number, not the model MacBook it fits.

That's right, the aluminium MacBook was just a one Generation run. The 13" MacBook Pro which replaced it had an internal battery.
