Hi,

Have 2008 MBP that beeps when turning on. Tried different combinations of ram/slots:

Ram A/ Slot A or
Ram A/ Slot B or
Ram B/ Slot A or
Ram B/ Slot B or

Machine boots up if I have a single chip in, but when I put the two in, I get boot up sound followed by a beep and flashing LED. Anyone have an idea as far as what's wrong (hopefully not logic board).

Thanks,
Macgus

Most likely logic board. That year has a 8600GT which is a know ticking time bomb. Even if your RAM slots magically turn out okay, the GPU will die and render your computer useless regardless.
