2008 macpro 2.8 upgrades

So I'm considering buying one of the above in base configuration. I've looked around these forums & tried google searches for a guide on upgrade options for this macpro, found nothing much as yet.

Does anybody know of an upgrade rundown list i.e compatible components gpu's etc etc.

Any SATA HDD.

Any ATA ODD.

Sporadic PCIe USB/FireWire/eSATA cards.

800MHz DDR2 FB-DIMMs.

Where are you finding them? 2008 'clearance' Pros are scarce at best...

amazon has them for $2539 (dropped from $2629), not tax in most states + free shipping. just ordered mine yesterday. bhphoto had a really good deal at $2399 earlier this week, but they've sold out and have raised their price to $2589.

Great price, not tax. I decided to pick one up this morning after debating whether to get an '09 Pro.

It was a pretty easy decision.
