it was just working, put the computer to sleep

turn it on 45 minutes later and half the screen is dim.

the lights on the bottom of the screen are lit up for left half of the screen. the others are off. never had this happen before. anyway to fix it? :( :(

    Did you fix the problem?

I have the same problem for the same Macbook model. Any info you can give me would be VERY appreciated.

There is no software magic or some button u can push to fix. This is 99.99999% a hardware problem. If you a lucky, some internal cables got loose and all you have to do is open it, unplug the cable(s), attempt to clean, and re-plug.

If that doesn't work, backlit and or inverter fault and need to be replaced.

If you can't DIY, this is relatively easy to fix. Wild guess usd$100 if replacement are needed.
