My MBP has problem when power ON.
Does not Start at all when using battery.
When power adapter is connected, it took several round of pressing power button untill it wake up.
Please advice

Please see Youtube link below for reference

Has the battery ever been replaced?
It's probably getting old and NEEDS to be replaced.

OP:
The power connector does not look correct. Is that the original power adaptor that shipped with the MBP? What does the indicator light show on the power plug?

What do you see when you press the battery button on the side of the MBP?

Furthermore, may not be relevant since not keys are pressed to select another boot up disk, but what is connected to the USB port on the left?

Also OP, does this situation occur with the battery removed (you have a 2009 MBP so it's removable) and only connected to a correct external power adapter? Does this occur with a fresh external OSX/macOS boot drive (battery in/out)?

Can you record booting up in verbose mode?
