This machine has periods of running slow and I wonder if some extra DIMMs would help? The HD is 250G and has 1 slot of 1G memory. I have run the disk utility, emptied the cache and re-set the pram. It seemed to help somewhat but still slows down occasionally. Any suggestions?

OS version. Processor speed, how full is the hard drive? What do you run regularly? What is open all the time?

Everything looks fine. Get your memory to at least 4GB and all should be better. 1GB for 10.6 is very limiting.

It might be 2008 but it has only 1GB (250GB HD)

Awesome. Just up the road. I thought you might be local, what with the mariner moniker:)
